What this is

Rootdossier organises your own paperwork for a citizenship by descent claim: the people in your line, the documents a route lists, their status, costs, dates and the mismatches between them. It does not decide whether you qualify, it does not file anything, and it does not check that anything you entered is true.

Organiser, not legal advice. Rules change: confirm with the consulate or a lawyer. Every rule shown here is our paraphrase of a named source, read on the date shown; some are settings we could not confirm at a primary source, and they are marked. Rules and document lists change without notice. Where anything here disagrees with the current official page, the official page governs. Rootdossier is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government, consulate, embassy, ministry, court or law firm, including the German, Irish, Polish, Canadian and Italian authorities that decide citizenship cases.

Your records

Anything the site remembers is stored by your own browser on your own device. It can be cleared by you at any time, cannot be recovered by us, and does not follow you to another device. Keep backups.

What is free

One case with its full chain, document register, discrepancy check and missing list, every guide and country page, and importing a backup are free with no account and stay that way. When billing is enabled, a paid tier adds more cases and countries, the printed reports, passphrase-locked backups and the cost CSV; a plain backup export stays free. A case beyond the free one is never deleted: it stays readable.

Refunds

Not happy with a purchase? Email socialreminderinfo@gmail.com within 14 days of a first purchase, or within 7 days of a renewal, and we will refund it. Send the message from the email address you used at checkout, and include:

• the email address used at checkout (if you are writing from a different address)
• your access code, shown on the Premium page on the browser you purchased from
• roughly when you purchased, and which plan (yearly or lifetime)
• the last 4 digits of the card, if you have the receipt handy

That is everything needed to find the purchase and process the refund. This policy does not limit any statutory rights you may have.

Acceptable use

Use the site to organise your own or your family's paperwork. Do not scrape it at a rate that degrades it for other people, and do not present its printouts as an official form or as a decision of any authority.

Warranty and liability

The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Rootdossier is not liable for any loss arising from the use of the site or from reliance on anything on it, including a document list that is incomplete, a deadline that changed, or an application that is refused. A result here is a layout of, or a calculation on, what you typed and the rules as we read them.
